French immersion is the delivery of the regular British Columbia school curriculum in the French language. Simply put, students in French Immersion follow the same curriculum as students in the regular English program do, but their courses are in French instead of English. There is no fee for the program.

Early French Immersion catchment areas
Early French Immersion is offered at three schools:
- Eric Langton Elementary
For students in the following English elementary school catchments:
AL, AR, AT, BM, EL, GE, HA, HH, KC, MRE, MC, RS, WC, WH, YEN - Laity View Elementary
For students in the following English elementary school catchments:
FA, GL, LV
- Pitt Meadows Elementary

Late French Immersion
- Golden Ears Elementary
Late French Immersion begins in Grade 6 and is available to any student in the district. For more information visit the Golden Ears Late French Immersion website.
